From the moment I started my career as a pediatric dietitian, I knew I wanted to work in the NICU. I got there, and quickly learned firsthand how important the right nutrition is in those earliest days and months.
I was part of miracle turnarounds in failure to thrive cases, and sat with families navigating much harder realities. What struck me most during these times was realizing how many of these cases could have gone differently with earlier support.
That realization followed me out of the NICU and into my next role as a pediatric gastroenterology dietitian, where I worked with children with complex medical needs. It's also what led me to create Verity Nutrition.
